I'm Shawn, a designer based in the Washington DC-Baltimore Area with a commitment to innovation, passion for brand development, and knack for problem solving.
With a very strong background in design and design theory as a self-taught freelancer, I am striving to gain even more valuable professional experience as a designer as I move forward in my journey.
Though initially self-taught, I ultimately decided to pursue a BFA in Design at University of Maryland, Baltimore County which supplemented and further enhanced my growth as a designer.
In my role as a Design Intern at Reingold, I produce print and digital materials like fact sheets, brochures, reports, and ads for diverse nonprofit, government, and commercial clients, adeptly managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Through freelancing, I have learned to work and communicate closely with clients, sometimes working on multiple projects at a time. I have gained valuable and vast experience following and creating brand guidelines through freelance projects. Through my experiences I have learned to adapt to a wide array of voices and formalities.
I absolutely love listening to music and when I'm not designing or learning about design, I enjoy writing, drawing, immersing myself in fictional works, playing pickup basketball, and learning about the world around me.
